1 week passed so quickly in a blink of the eye..
But i had a happy time on friday..
Havent been over to dear's house to study for awhile.. and i finally got the chance to do so! yay!

Whats better than having to spend so time with ur love ones enjoying each other company=)
However, becos of this thing called study, we have to spend more time doing other things than the things we like..

I cant seem to wait for the 3 months hols to arrive, then we can put aside all the academics and focus on our leisure!
But the the rest of the 7 weeks, Lets JIAYOU ba!

After a day of shopping with the guys, my dear very "politely" asked me to accompany her to shop for her new yr clothes on sat!
Seeing that she got no new clothes to wear, I agreed=P

Somewhere along the trip.. Dear: "I got money, but there is nothing for mi to buy!"
Very qian bian right? End up she didnt get anything -_-ll and i got a new shirt!

Slow to blog cos "someone" send mi the photos with copyrights lo.. which i cant open on my laptop and so i have to wait till todae before that "someone" passed mi the pixs=P

Accompany dear dear to repair her dad's phone at vivo and we saw something lame..

after which we decided to go to The Cathay to have Nihon Mura!! sudden cravings for ebikko, enoki bacon etc.. It was a nice full meal and i definitely recommend ppl to go have jap foodie there=)

Afterwhich i was brided by dear dear to walk to city hall from The Cathay, for a free coffee at Gloria's. But in between, we had a detour (like Amazing race) to Millenia Walk!!! We visited this damn nice place.. which all of you ppl would have seen on channel 5 commerical. The one which feature Fiona Xie dancing ard:

Finally.. the first week of hols have passed..
Not that i was looking forward to school reopening, but rather that my ops-manning is going to end soon.. tmr will be the last day and tmr will also be the day i register my modules..=X

Anyhow, dear came over to my hse yesterday and accompany mi for the afternoon.. we tried something diff.. lol.. playing online game under the same roof.. lol.. cooperation to the max..
Then at night we went over to sembawang sunplaza for dinner!!
I was having trouble deciding whether to eat pasta mania or sakae, since i have not eaten both for god know how long..

In the end.. i had Chicken and Ham sauages baked rice!!! wahahaha.. CHEESE!! *slurp*..
Then we went on a long awaited walk ard dear's breezy, erm windy to be exact neighbourhood!! And someone was afraid that there will be dogs stalking her and she refuse to walk along the path next to the forest=P

Raining now!! Juz the way i like my lazy day to be.. cooling..
I dun like the heat that accompanied the hot and humid days.. coupled with the sunlight that shone directly into my room.. it makes my room hotter than usual..

Yesterday RT was tougher than expected man.. damn tired.. haha.. although it was slack but we did alot of static excerise.. ppl were cheating as usual..
Take running for example: 3km run.. no one to supervise.. and there were ppl who didnt sweat, 3 times the size of mi coming back earlier than i did.. OMG! haha.. but i shant complaint.. cos its their own fitness not mine..

Recently started reading a new book called Parasite Eve.. For video games avid, you should have played the game before.. Anyhow, its about mitochondria.. a sci-fi horror.. and before you ppl say that i m a geek.. read that book and you will know its nice.. talking abt a man obsession to let his dead wife live forever.. lol..

If time is really the problem.. y not spend more time together physically and not thr present day communication devices into the wee hours of the night? If the latter was chosen.. isnt it the same as a long dist relationship.. where talking on the phone for long period was the sole comfort for the 2 of them?
What to do when a person is tired? Do you allow him/her to slp? or do you want them to accompany you on the phone? unless one realize that mistake and not indulge in the world of ones own reasonings, then can all the problems be solved. Sometimes, we have to give and take, and not taking all the time..

From 2nd till 9th dec i have to do ops manning.. Army stuff again.. cant seems to escape from them even after ORD-ing for like 3 yrs alr.. What to do.. i m a Singaporean Male!
But i guess army still let the guys learnt alot of things that we dun usually learnt in our everyday lives..
Fruitful to say the least! But still some things in army are really too by the book for mi..

Developmental is so messy.. so dis-orangised..

However, i did managed to get the much awaited excerise i wanted.. Basketball!!

Yes! You have seen it right.
Its called RS101 which refers to Principles of Relationship Management.

This is a course that teaches you about how to present yourself to the other half, how to handle dates, temper, arguments and more importantly how to run a relationship well.
However there are more to that!
Credits or AU will be awarded to students taking this elective but the downside is the prerequiste that you must be attached in order to register for the course.

1 week!!! I survived!!!
The weather in France is good.. maybe abit dry..
Food is salty but still edible..

Spent a week in lab and got some results going..
For ppl who are interested, i m working on Pyrococcus Abassi MetRS..
For those who are not (actually i dun think ppl will be interested)..
Tell u ppl something interesting..

I went down to get my scholarship on wed, while on the train, there are actually ppl performing..
This guy was playing the violin on the train and it was nice!!
Maybe streetperformers in singapore can do so!!

There are graffiti all over the place, even on walls of bungalows..lol..
France isnt as developed as u ppl may think..
Its quite "old", dirty and maybe worn down.. I think this apply to all the big nations..

Now the French are very elitist in their thinking..
Ecole poly is the top school in France and if u get here is like a major news..
50% of listed companies CEO in France are from Ecole!! Can u believe it?
Each university in France is governed by a ministry and Ecole happened to be a military institute and so its governed by the Ministry of Defence..
Which happens to make this school super rich.. but the place is so worn down=P

The way french do things here are very different. they are very sociable..
"Bonjour" "Salu" greetings that can be heard from strangers..
They hold the doors for strangers.. and they are very polite..

Went down to Gare Du Nord (north station)..
The station is huge man.. got shops inside somemore..
Made my way to the Metro station and went to EGIDE( Organisation for international personnels)..
Got my scholarship from there.. 840euros!! for the month of may and june..
Think not enuf one.. haiz..

I have to say something..
Ecole Polytechnique is on a hill top..
Climbing 300++(steep) steps up to get to the place is no joke..
I almost died..(imagine 8 degrees and i still sweat..)

There is no shops ard here.. cos this place where the school is Lozere(lor-air)..
Is a place for executive housing..
I have no place to shop.. unless i go paris(par-ree)

So i guess i juz have to make do with it..
May not have time to get gifts for ppl..

Accepting the offer to go over, and to finish my Ureca thesis by june..

Its a bright sunny friday morning..
Finally free from the torture of rain..

A new year..
A new beginning..

I ended my 2007 with the company of Cher at the Botanics Gardens..
Wind was at our command..
The clouds was at our command..
Most importantly, time is at our command..
How i wish school wouldnt start..
And we could spend the days relaxing..

Looking back, 2007 was a good yr..
working as a Sony promoter let mi hone my communication skills..
Taiwan trip allowed mi to try something new..
FOC let mi made more frens.. and my present sweetheart..=)
From that day onwards..
For everything that has been thrown at mi..
I learnt alot..
I guessed i have grown..
Yr 2 was a hectic yr for mi..
i knew from the start i couldnt cope..

Nonetheless, this sem has been bearing heavy weights on my shoulders..
Juggling Academics and Social life..
But i managed to overcome it..

Been relli happy to know all the freshies..

Sunday.. as always a lazy day for most ppl..
Woke up at 11am and feeling fresh=)

My tagboard was fixed.. Not a accomplishment i would say.. Time better spent on studying.. haha..

Watch Rise of Nations(大国崛起）at 12 noon.. Todae episode was abt Russia..
As i was watching the show, thoughts began invading my mind..

Russia in the 17th century was a closed country.. when the rest of the world were progressing, they are oblivious to what was going on outside.. They have their own set of values to uphold, that they are superior..

However, their ruler Tsar Peter I knew that fact and he himself took on a commoner identity, went overseas to other European countries to learn their traits and he took home all that he had learnt.. But when his people knew abt his action, they were outraged.. becos he betrayed their "values"..

In the end because of this, Russia was able to progress to become a supernation..
Irony that these lessons can be applied to us too..

Some people juz closed themself up.. not revealing their feelings or thoughts.. always uphold their own set of values..

Juz so u think that:" oh i can nv do the same to people, what they had done for mi" isnt it the same as "i do not wish to learn".. closing urself up?

Do not ask what u cant do for people.. But rather what u can learn to do from the people, things u normally wouldnt do..

Monday started with an expectation..

Tueday ended with dissatisfaction..

Wednesday started with a notion, in the middle with an action, and ends with a caption..

Everytime this quote came to my mind, i m always ready to choose the happy path.. the person relli taught mi something here.. thx.. but then again..CHOICES are wat makes life all the more complicated..

u can choose to say wat u relli feel, or u can choose to hide it.. be it to prevent hurting someone, or to make the person feel happy..

Ultimately, life is wat u choose it to be, its ur choice.. although ppl ard u influences ur choices..

M i too naive? that i m too nice to everyone i know.. that i thought everyone will reciprocate wat i have shown/given to them..

Then i recieve 2 donuts from weiling.. cheese and strawberry.. specially brought in the morning from pasir ris..OMG! i m so touched la.. THX WEILING!!
After my lesson, 6 of my freshies suprised mi with a celebration in the resource room.. haha.. thx for asking mi to lick the strawberry cream wor.. haha.. THX weiling,fongee,corrina,karen,esther and michelle.. haha.. and to the ppl that wrote the cards..

The first felt like spring.. start of something new, something fresh..

The last felt like winter.. where everything goes into hibernation.. longing for the start of spring again..

However, summer was once here, covering mi in a blanket, making mi feel warm and fuzzy..

Then came autumn, where the trees lose their leaves, where everything goes back to its origin.. 落叶归根..

Its been a good first half of the week.. Getting into the futsal semis.. going into the finals but in the end lost to CBE.. Nonetheless, we were happy that we give our best and got a nalgene bottle..
Wed was a fruitful day.. Dropped a qn and got my answer.. was happy that she said jiayou jiayou..
Thur was a happy day for mi!! sneak out of my lab to go talk to her and pei her after lab to wait for her frens to come..
Fri was a distastrous day.. she drop mi a BOMB in the morning while we meet to go school.. been moodly the whole day thinking abt the stuffs.. 2 guys 1 gal and the 2 guys are good frens.. i had totally no mood for study.. waiting for school to end.. was looking forward to meet her for dinner.. in the end we ended up walking for 2 hrs back to her place.. she brought mi to her primary school.. talked abt our childhood.. i relli enjoyed the walk home hope u feel the same.. so many things going through my head.. i m feeling so torn apart..
Todae was a good day.. dinner and talk again.. a few stuffs happened.. i was happy that the dog barked at us.. ya.. thx for everything..

This week has been ok of mi.. not very fantastic.. as usual stressed abt my work.. i think i took too many stuffs this sem.. haha.. then again i wan to try my best! haha.. 2 things i m happy this week was tt i m in Dean's list and i got invited to take up URECA.. hope i can excel this sem.. hehe.. coming through, i realised that i have been chatting with my bestie almost everyday.. omg.. but wat can i do man.. when i relli like talking with my bestie.. so much stuffs in common and basically to crap abt!!! Happy Birthday Singapore!! 42 yr old le.. haha.. abt 20 yrs older then mi.. looking back, alot had happened over the course of our independence.. but the sheer willpower and hardwork of our forefathers make sure that Singapore overcome the many obstacles to prevail and prosper and in many yrs to come.. How i wish i had inherited their traits.. my 21yr of history has been nothing short of interesting.. with the first yr of my uni life being the most vibrant of the lot.. and with the start of the new yr in uni.. i hope an even more interesting chapter can be written.. will i be like Singapore, prevail and prosper?

Coming to think of it.. alot of ppl have crossed path with mi.. and i have been mostly a passer-by.. one that is often taken for granted.. maybe i didnt make the effort to be the best of frens..and i certainly wont wan to lose this new fren(BP).. other ppl may view mi differently from wat i relli am.. but this fren has been nice to mi.. for ppl that i have once let down.. i m sorry..

Todae went out with the bitching gang for movie.. SIMPSONS!!!! wahaha.. the plot was abit pointless but nonetheless brainless jokes made was laugh throughout the 1hr 20mins.. haha.. then again.. back to school once more.. we shall see how it goes.. hope i can know more ppl too.. hee..

These past 2 days i have been slacking at home man.. rotting.. lol! 2 more days to school reopens and i think i need time at home.. tts y.. haha.. been watching Smallville Season 6 and supernatural season 2.. interesting shows man.. kinda trying to say that u are in control of ur destiny instead of everything being decided from birth.. Haha.. Been talking to a fren online lately.. not bad.. we have alot to talk abt and tts wat i enjoy man.. happy to know u fren.. lol!

Orientation Day..

Yesterday was orientation day.. reached school at 10am to help with the set up for the freshies.. turned out the orientation day was a disappointment compared to my yr.. the food was not as interesting and there were no t-shirts or goodie bags.. though i had fun in the school lobby playing sports becos of a sport bonnaza.. after the whole thing ended, went for my loooooong await basketball session with my bball pals, weichao,shuling,roy,c cube and zixian.. had so much fun.. really missed the times man.. haha..

Finally.. our long await maidu outing occurred.. haha.. although there were only 6 of us.. but it was so entertaining la.. haha.. weichao, mi, shuling, kim and anthony first went to K Box!!! Yeah!! to sing.. from 2 to 7.. had so much fun laughing when 2 guys sang love duet together.. haha.. guess we enjoyed each other company alot.. at 7 we met Ariyo for dinner at carl's jr then went Gelare for 50% waffle.. wahaha.. pics will be up soon when i recieve them..

Todae outing was at Pitstop Cafe at Boatquay.. something like settlers cafe where u go there to have meal and at the same time play games..Suppose to meet at Raffles Place Mrt control at 430pm.. turns out the person who send the email was late.. haha.. total we had like 19 ppl.. Omg so big la the grp as u can see from abv.. haha..

Then all of us started ordering our food and in the mean time.. GAMES!!! We played alot of games some are fun while some are lame.. Cranium was good man.. its like u have to progress from start point to the end and in the process do a series of stuffs from 4 catergories.. Star Performer where u have to perform, Data Head where u answer relli hard qns, Word Worms where u play with words and the last one is where u sculp something from playdo.. Because of the big grp we had to separate ourself up into 3 grps each playing a different game.. to our SURPRISE, the all gals grp including daniel was super loud and hyper.. during FOC they were so quiet and demure but now.. erm.. Haha..

Then while playing we started taking random pics.. Dun we 3 guys look like James Bond? Wahaha.. After everything, we left at ard 830pm and we went walking aimlessly juz to wait for 9pm to come.. this is due to the fact that Tee seng recommended as an Italian Resturant where u get 50% discount for the desserts at 9pm.. OMG!! the desserts are SUPER NICE can.. haha.. i had Soffiato.. a warm chocolate cake with a scoop of chocolate chip ice cream.. when i cut the cake the fudge juz gashed out.. haha..

We chilled out until abt 10pm then everyone left for their nests.. pity that some of the freshies cant join us.. All in all a very fun filled outing.. Hope to have one more soon.. haha..

(SUN)day!! Thought that it will be a bright sunny day but woke up to the sound of raindrops and thunder.. Another rainy day.. Been like this ever since my FOC ended.. Haha.. Guess wat, i actually enjoyed listening to the raindrops falling.. Arhhh.. the sound of nature.. calms mi down and give mi a soothing feeling.. like walking in the rain too.. feeling raindrops on mi.. Anyway, looking forward to my OG outing later with my freshies..

Haha.. First time blogging.. feeling so excited! =) Coming to the end of my 3 mths break from school.. Omg another school term is abt to start= more studying!!! Haha.. Been busy this whole 3 mths.. going for Malaysia backpacking trip, Reservice in army, working, Taiwan hols and of cos my fav Freshmen Orientation Camp(FOC). Had lotsa fun and how i wish everything will still be going on.. Lol! First of all got to know alot of new ppl, which is wat i like to do, and the coming school term looks happening to mi minus the studying part that is.. Looking forward to my orientation grp outing tmr.. guess it will be fun!
